FullStack Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails & Go)

Responsibilities

• Design and build REST/GraphQL APIs and event-driven services in Rails and Go
• (Postgres/Redis/Kafka or Pub/Sub).
• Own domain models, performance, scalability, and data correctness.
• Contribute to DevOps: Docker images, CI pipelines, IaC (Terraform), release strategy, SLOs/SLIs, error budgets.
• Instrument observability (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Sentry) and keep services healthy.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, and Growth; write clear RFCs and ADRs.
• Champion testing culture (RSpec, go test), code reviews, and secure coding practices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 4+ years shipping backend services; production experience with Ruby on Rails and Go.
• Strong SQL/Postgres skills; caching, queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Comfortable with AWS/GCP, Docker, CI/CD, and basic Terraform.
• Experience with performance profiling and high-availability systems.
• Nice to have: payments (Stripe/Adyen), pricing engines, marketplace or inventory systems.
• English & Spanish proficiency; collaborative, product-minded, metrics-driven.
